Washington - Business Roundtable President & COO Kristen Silverberg released the following statement regarding the scheduled vote in the House on the Senate-passed fiscal year (FY) 2025 budget resolution with reconciliation instructions to extend and strengthen the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA):
"Congress is on the verge of clearing a major procedural hurdle toward extending and strengthening President Trump’s historic tax reform. Given the critical work still ahead to protect and enhance the economic benefits that TCJA has delivered for American businesses, workers and families, it's essential that lawmakers swiftly move into the next phase of the debate. Business Roundtable strongly urges the House to approve the FY 2025 budget resolution to formally unlock the reconciliation process."
