Business Roundtable Strongly Supports Bipartisan Senate Permitting Reform Bill

Washington - Business Roundtable CEO Joshua Bolten today issued the following statement on the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026:

“Business Roundtable strongly supports the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act of 2026. This vital legislation would create a faster, more durable permitting process that gives businesses the certainty they need to invest, build and grow.

“Advancing wide-ranging permitting reform is one of the most consequential steps Congress can take to unlock America’s economic potential. By accelerating approvals for critical infrastructure projects, this bill would help lower costs, create good-paying jobs and strengthen America’s long-term competitiveness. Business Roundtable applauds Chairman Capito, Chairman Lee, Ranking Member Whitehouse and Ranking Member Heinrich for their leadership on this issue, and we urge the Senate to swiftly pass this measure.”
