Cummins CEO: Time for Action on TPA is Now

In a recent op-ed for The Republic (Columbus, IN), titled “Time to Act,” Tom Linebarger, Chairman and CEO of Cummins Inc., and Chair of the Business Roundtable International Engagement Committee, called on Congress and the Administration to work together to pass critical bipartisan Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) legislation. Linebarger wrote:

“Creating opportunities for American companies like Cummins to reach more customers through new, and 21st century free-trade agreements can help get our economy on track and keep our nation globally competitive. This means more jobs for American workers and stronger communities in the United States. The first step toward strengthening the U.S. economy through trade is for Congress to pass Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) legislation … .”
