About BRT

Washington — Business Roundtable today released a new national cable television advertisement as part of its multipronged effort supporting pro-growth tax reform. The new ad, which will also run on radio and online, features Mike Bertsche, President and CEO of Camcraft, a 300-person manufacturing company that makes engine components for cars, trucks and construction equipment. Based in Hanover Park, Illinois, Camcraft has been in business and a part of the local community for almost 25 years. Camcraft supplies components to Cummins Inc. and several other Business Roundtable member companies.

“Continuing to grow, hire, and invest in the business is essential. But America’s complex and outdated tax code gets in the way,” Bertsche says in the 30-second spot. “Tax reform in our opinion can help the economy grow. Congress promised tax reform, and Congress needs to deliver.”

Business Roundtable members collectively employ more than 16 million people directly and generate more than $440 billion in revenues annually for small and medium-sized U.S. businesses like Camcraft. Pro-growth tax reform will allow companies like Camcraft to continue to invest in the local community, hire and increase employee wages.

In July, Business Roundtable launched a multimillion-dollar integrated advocacy campaign in support of pro-growth tax reform. In addition to national cable television, radio and digital advertisements, America’s leading employers are engaging their employees, managers, suppliers and customers through events, outreach to lawmakers and local and regional media. These efforts will demonstrate the importance of pro-growth tax reform to job creators of all sizes.
