About BRT
Betsy Andres Stewart is Vice President at Business Roundtable, where she helps guide strategic communications, media relations, advertising and member communications for the association of chief executive officers of leading U.S. corporations.

Prior to joining Business Roundtable, Stewart served for more than five years in Speaker John A. Boehner’s communications office, as Director of Media Affairs, where she managed broadcast media appearances and directed the official press advance operation.  While in the Speaker’s office, Stewart coordinated several notable, high-profile broadcast stories that highlight the history and inner workings of Congress and the Speaker’s office. Stewart was also responsible for facilitating the media logistics for the President’s annual State of the Union Address and the subsequent Republican response to the nation.

In addition to her work in the Speaker’s office, Stewart spent years on Capitol Hill serving in the communications offices of the House Republican Conference and the House Ways and Means Committee. Stewart's experience also includes political campaigns, having served as Deputy Press Secretary for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Stewart earned a bachelor’s degree in art history from James Madison University.  She resides in Washington, D.C. with her husband and daughter.
