William M. Brown is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer and serves on the Board of Directors of Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS).
 
Harris, with annual revenue of approximately $5 billion, is a leading global provider of communications and information technology products, software, systems, and services to government, defense, and commercial markets.  The company has about 13,000 employees who serve customers in more than 125 countries.
 
Prior to joining Harris, Mr. Brown was with United Technologies Corporation (UTC), where he held several senior leadership roles, including Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development; President of the UTC Fire & Security; and President of Carrier’s Transicold division and Asia Pacific Operations. Before joining UTC in 1997, he worked for McKinsey & Company as a senior engagement manager and at Air Products and Chemicals Inc as a project engineer.
 
Mr. Brown serves on the board of directors for the Fire Department of New York City (FDNY) Foundation, the board of trustees of both the Florida Institute of Technology and Florida Polytechnic University, and he is a member of the US-Brazil CEO Forum and the Aerospace Industries Association’s Executive Committee. He received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
