George Paz provides leadership for the evolution of Express Scripts’ strategic direction and assuming day-to-day responsibility for delivering on the company’s promise to make the use of prescription drugs safer and more affordable. He joined Express Scripts in 1998 as senior vice president and chief financial officer and became president in 2003. In 2005 he was named chief executive officer and the following year was elected chairman of the board. Paz holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Missouri and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
