Business Roundtable is pressing its policy agenda in advertising at the National Republican Convention in Tampa, Fla., and the National Democratic Convention in Charlotte, N.C.
A full-page ad (available here in The Tampa Tribune and Charlotte Observer, as well as convention-specific publications, declares, “America’s CEOs to Washington: It’s Time to Act.” The ad points out the slow growth and high unemployment afflicting the U.S. economy and concludes, “America’s CEOs have a plan for jobs and economic growth. It’s a plan that believes people and our free enterprise system can win in the 21stCentury economy. See our plan at www.brt.org/TakingAction.”
In addition, BRT bought radio spots on AM and FM stations in both markets. Also in Tampa, BRT President John Engler will participate in a Bloomberg panel on international trade on Tuesday, and then appear on the Mike Huckabee radio show at noon, which will be streamed live.
