Today, more than 38 million U.S. jobs depend on trade. Trade-related employment has grown by 24 million new jobs in less than two decades, and is an essential part of America’s recovery and future success. With 95 percent of customers living outside the United States, U.S. trade agreements are key to helping American workers and companies sell their products and services around the world.
One agreement under negotiation during the late 2000s – the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement (FTA) – had the potential to increase trade between the U.S. and Korea, and therefore help drive job growth here in the U.S. This interactive map highlights importers and exporters in every state that trade with S. Korea and would stand to benefit from the trade agreement.
