William M. Brown is President and Chief Executive Officer and serves on the Board of Directors of Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS).
Harris, with annual revenue of approximately $6 billion, is a leading global provider of communications and information technology products, software, systems, and services to government, defense, and commercial markets. The company has about 17,000 employees who serve customers in more than 150 countries.
Prior to joining Harris, Mr. Brown was with United Technologies Corporation (UTC), where he held several senior leadership roles, including Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development; President of the UTC Fire & Security; and President of Carrier’s Transicold division and Asia Pacific Operations. Before joining UTC in 1997, he worked for McKinsey & Company as a senior engagement manager and at Air Products and Chemicals Inc as a project engineer.
Mr. Brown serves on the board of directors for the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) Foundation and the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Engineering, Villanova University.
He received a Bachelors and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
