David Simon was named Chairman of the Board of Directors of Simon Property Group in October of 2007. He has been Chief Executive Officer of Simon Property Group since 1995. Mr. Simon was President of the Company from 1993 to 1996 and Executive Vice President of Melvin Simon & Associates, Inc. (the predecessor company) from 1990 to 1993, after joining the Company in 1990. He was a Vice President of Wasserstein Perella & Co. from 1988 to 1990. Mr. Simon has been a director of Simon Property Group since 1993. In early 2010, the Harvard Business Review recognized Mr. Simon as one of the world’s best-performing CEO’s.
