Keith Nosbusch was appointed chairman and chief executive officer of Rockwell Automation in February 2004. He also is a member of the company’s board of directors. Prior to this appointment, Nosbusch served as the president of Rockwell Automation Control Systems and an officer of the corporation, positions he held since November 1998. Nosbusch previously served as senior vice president, Control and Information Group. In that position, he was responsible for the launching of Logix, the premier integrated control and information platform of Rockwell Automation. Nosbusch’s career began in 1974 when he joined Allen-Bradley as an application engineer. Since then he’s held numerous positions of increasing responsibility. In 1988, Nosbusch was named vice president, Presence Sensing, Automation Group. During his tenure, this business unit grew more than 10 percent per year. In 1994, he was named vice president, Control Logic, Automation Group, where he focused the business on global growth and positioned it to compete more effectively in the open architecture market. Nosbusch earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
