Bruce Grewcock is President and Chief executive Officer of Peter Kiewit Sons’, Inc. With 2009 revenues of nearly $10 billion, the employee-owned company is the fifth largest general contractor in the U.S. and a top ten producer of coal. In its list of America’s largest companies, Fortune ranks Kiewit #238. Forbes ranks it #31 among privately-held companies.

Following an early career with a coal mining company in New Mexico, Mr. Grewcock joined Kiewit’s mining operations in 1982. He was named President of Kiewit Mining Group in 1992. Executive management responsibilities for the company’s construction operations grew, and he was elected to the Board of Directors in 1994 and was named President and Chief Operating Officer in 2000. He assumed the duties of Chief Executive Officer in early 2005.

Mr. Grewcock is the seventh Chief Executive Officer since the company’s founding in 1884. Under his leadership as CEO, the company has expanded the portfolio of market segments it can serve, and now provides a broad array of construction and engineering services to the transportation, commercial building, water resources, power, underground, oil & gas, electrical, and marine markets.

Mr. Grewcock graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in 1976, earning a B.S. in Mining Engineering. He attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program in 1989.

Mr. Grewcock is active in community affairs, serving as a director of the Nebraska Medical Center, TeamMates Mentoring Program and Creighton University. He is a Governor of the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben, a 100-year old local philanthropic organization.
